So, why Aluminum?
Though these are a little more expensive for us to use in the process, there are so many advantages to using aluminum, it made the most sense for our customers and the the environment and supports our mission statement to be eco-friendly.
- Aluminum is 100% recyclable, durable, shatterproof, and provides 100% UV protection to keep your oils fresh and extend the life of the products
- Aluminum is one of the most environmentally friendly resources available and can be recycled indefinitely. In fact, almost 75% of all aluminum ever produced is still in use today with EPA data showing on average, most cans contain an average of 68% recycled content compared to 3% for plastic in the United States!
- Aluminum is resistant to bacteria and does not leach into liquids like many plastics do that are in use today.
- Aluminum requires significantly less energy to process and create new products from recycled aluminum than it does to create new products from raw materials. This makes it a MUCH more sustainable and eco-friendly option over plastic, which is typically only recycled once or twice before it becomes unusable.
