Oil “Notes” Overview
To understand the basics of how each oil is described, this handy guide will help you through the process. Each oil has a different evaporation rate which is important when developing blends that are strong, yet not overpowering. In developing each of our recipes, we have paired oils to bring synergy between these notes for a refreshing and invigorating “finish”.
Top Note: Most have antiviral properties and come on strong, but evaporate quicker.
Mid-Note: Longer lasting than top notes which are typically extracted from spices and herbs.
Base-Note: Heavy oils that leave a lasting impression that are typically extracted from trees, bark, and roots.
While the majority of formulas use 100% pure essential oil extracts, we do incorporate a few fragrance oils in some of our blends in an effort to extend our “parody” lines. These fragrance oils are rigorously tested, meeting all safe use standards designated under FDA regulations. While a select few may contain fragrance oils, don’t let that stop you from enjoying the incredible fragrances that pair nicely to the unique product names safely, effectively, and with a bouquet of enjoyment while you are on the “Go”!
All of our oils are:
- Phthalate Free: These are known as plasticizers that stabilize oils and fragrances. Our oils are clean and free of these binding plastics so use with confidence spray after spray.
- Paraben Free: Chemicals used as a preservative to extend the life of products. Not on our watch regardless of essential oil or fragrance oil.
- SLS and SLES Free: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate. Big words but essentially are additives used to create foam. I.e. shampoo, toothpaste, etc. Our oils are meant to build a barrier between the bowl and buttocks, so foam is a no-no for our go-go formulas
- Vegan Friendly: None of our oils (or any of our products for all that matters) contain ingredients that are derived from animals.
- Cruelty Free: Pets should be loved not lab experiments. Our products are never nor ever will be tested on animals.
